Water Many litres of water are lost down the drain from flushing toilets and running taps. We can save water by turning off taps and installing a water saving device to reduce the volume of water used every time you flush. See the posters the children made to remind everyone to save water.
Energy Turning off the light when you leave an empty room, and turning electrical appliances such as a computer when not in use is the simplest way of saving energy. The children have made lots of helpful posters to remind everyone at St.Crispin’s to turn off that light or shut down that computer.
Transport We can reduce our carbon footprint by changing ways we travel. Leave the car at home and travel to school by walking, cycling or on your scooter all helps. The children at St.Crispin’s would like to see the scooter/bike park extended so even more cars can be left at home.
Rubbish Recycling such as paper, batteries, glass and cans we reduce how much go into landfill. At St.Crispin’s Infant School we have been recycling our paper for sometime and now anything that can be recycled into compost will go into Roses and Roger the recycling bins.

Cheer Leading Club
Green Britain Day St.Crispin’s Infant School took part on Thursday 17th June 2010. At school we learn about climate change, and we are trying to do something about it. We want other people to join in too. If all the people who live and work in our community do at least one thing to be greener, it will make a really big difference. Jointhepod.org
