..and now of course we are all looking forward to 2012 and the Olympics in London. After the 2008 Olympics it will certainly be an event to watch ( didn’t Team GB do well and what about the Paralympics. Those athletes show just what can be achieved when you try..) If you look at the heading on the main pages of this web site, you will see ‘if you can dream it you can do it’ .That was certainly true of our Olympic Team GB. While it is not necessarily the motto of St Crispin’s, I have made it the motto of this web site.

Of course I am forgetting a very important event much sooner than 2012 and that is the World Cup in 2010 at South Africa. Well done to England for qualifying and let’s hope you bring home the trophy. Such a lot to look forward to !

activemark award
However with 2012 and the Olympics in mind, this certificate was signed for St Crispin’s by Mrs Kehoe - Headteacher, Mr Peter Corey - Chairman of Governors and Hope Ovenden for the pupils. As you can clearly see it signs St Crispins up to the values of the Olympics and so there should be quite a few things happening between now and 2012 here at St Crispin’s. Of course you will be kept fully informed of everything during this exciting time.

The Olympic
and Paralympic Values
                Personal Excellence
                Respect and Friendship
                Inspiration
                Determination and Courage

Activemark award
St. Crispin’s are very pleased and indeed proud to be able announce that we have been granted the ‘Activemark Award’.This award is given in recognition of progress made in PE.  Schools are set targets throughout  a period of time and they are expected to reach these targets.
We are very pleased to be able to say that we have reached the targets set for PE and in fact have passed those targets. Indeed in our last Ofsted report it was said that....‘Good standards were also noted in physical education lessons’ also thatIt (St. Crispin’s) has been able to improve standards in......(different subjects).......and physical education.’  For that reason we have been granted this award. Well done to everyone involved.
But what is happening with the Olympics? What about the site, how is that coming along? There is a very good web site to look at that gives all the information that you could possibly want with lots of pictures as well.
