Governing Body

Mrs Louise Davidson - Headteacher

As Headteacher of St. Crispin’s, I work closely with Governors to ensure we give every child the best possible start to school life. As a team we monitor and evaluate the work of the whole school, constantly looking for ways to improve.

Mr Mark Mulcahy - Chair of Governors / Co opted Governor

Ms Ellie Jones - Parent Governor

Mrs Lisa Johnstone - Co-opted Governor

Several of my family have attended St.Crispin's in the past and currently my grandson is in year 1. As i am now retired, i help with the school run and am enjoying involvement in school life again.

I am a qualified accountant and spent most of my career working in financial services where i gained experience in regulation and compliance. I believe i can use my skills and experience to make a positive contribution as a governor.

Mrs Jo MacDonald- Parent Governor

My daughter started Reception in September 2020 and I’ve been struck by how motivated and engaged the staff are and, most of all, how the pupils exude joy and kindness.

I have worked in Communications for the last 15 years, in both the public and private sector, and it’s a privilege to play a small part in making a difference to life at St Crispin’s and ensuring that that all children flourish here.

I believe passionately in the importance of delivering a breadth of education that includes sport, music and drama to nurture imagination, trust, teamwork, community spirit and self-confidence. The wellbeing and social aspects of these activities cannot be underestimated and will help ensure that the school meets the needs of all of its pupils.

Mrs Georgia Jeffs- Parent Governor

Since I moved here 8 years ago I have been wanting to make a meaningful contribution to the community. With my son starting at St Crispin's in September, It was the perfect opportunity to volunteer my time. I occasionally help my husband with work and I love to cook, however I mainly spend my time raising our two boys, who are the light of my life.

Having worked in the construction sector with an award winning property developer, I am experienced with striving for excellence whilst also working within the constraints of policy and ensuring projects are compliant. I have worked with social housing providers, planning and environmental departments and also building control within the local authority.  I will bring this skill set to St Crispin's in order to help the school to continuously improve.

Children are our future and I pledge to represent the pupils with dedication and their interests at the center of what I contribute as a parent governor to the governing body of our school.

Mrs Nicki Morgan- Parent Governor

I am delighted to have been elected as a Parent Governor at St Crispin's Community primary Infant School. I applied to be a Parent Governor primarily to make a positive contribution to my daughter and the circa 270 other pupils' learning journey.

I have been impressed with the school, the staff and the administration since I enquired about a reception place for my daughter in November 2019.

I have worked for the Civil Service for the last 17 years and in the course of my duties have worked with a myriad of people.

I bring a wealth of experience volunteering with young people and caring for my own daughter, my god children and the children of close friends. Most importantly I thoroughly enjoy engaging with children and their parents/carers/educators to collaborate on positive outcomes for all parties.

I have a keen interest in the experience of parenthood and in the education system. I have fond memories of being at school and my ambition is to replicate that joy of learning for more young people and for that to resonate with their parents, carers and wider circle.

I believe in the adage “It takes a village to raise a child”. My ethos is that society plays a pivotal role in helping to develop confident, conscientious children regardless of individual community members' own parenting status. This link to the local community is one of the most important reasons my husband and I chose St Crispin’s for our daughter. I believe that children should have the courage to take risks without fear of failure or rejection to enable them to build confidence and resilience and I am presented with daily reminders that St Crispin's embodies this belief too.
